Dr. David T. Crum is an Assistant Professor of History at Truett-McConnell University (2018-present). He began his academic career in 2013 and has taught a wide range of subjects, including history, philosophy, American government, and Christian studies.
Dr. Crum developed the online history minor program at North Greenville University (2015-2020). He was also the Lead U.S. History Instructor at Southeastern University (2019-2022). At Liberty University (2021-2023), Dr. Crum instructed graduate and doctoral students while acting as a doctoral chair and examiner for dissertations.
His educational background includes a bachelor's degree from Tennessee Temple University, a master's degree in theological studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, a master's degree in history from Wayland Baptist University, and a Ph.D. in Historical Theology from the University of the Free State.
His research focuses on the history of warfare and Christianity. Dr. Crum is particularly interested in the lives of Stonewall Jackson and George W. Truett.
Dr. Crum writes for Right Side Broadcasting Network and has regularly contributed to The Aquila Report, Florida Baptist Historical Society, World Reformed Fellowship, and Christian History Institute. He is the author of Stonewall Jackson: Saved By Providence and has been featured in various academic journals and periodicals.
